Kamal Hasan wrapped up the final mix of Vishwaroopam 2.

Ulakanayakan Kamal Hasan’s Vishwaroopam 2 is one of the actor’s long-delayed movie, which is currently in the post-production phase. 

Kamal’s pending political entry has also contributed to the hype around the movie, which has actor Shekhar Kapoor, Andrea, Pooja Kumar, and Rahul Bose in pivotal roles.Kamal recently took to Twitter to share a picture from the workstation in the US, where the film’s post-production is underway. In the tweet, he has said, “The film looks good. The film sounds good.” He also spoke about his late brother Chandra Haasan, who is named as the producer of the film (he produced the first part). 

Vishwaroopam ended with RAW agent Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri (Kamal Haasan) and team saving the day by stopping Omar (Rahul Bose) from blowing up the US. However, Omar is still on the loose, and the story hasn’t reached a closure.
The music of the film has been composed by Ghibran, who has earlier collaborated with Kamal for films like Uttama Villain and Papanasam. The film is expected to hit the screen in the first half of 2018.The spy thriller film is being simultaneously made in Tamil and Hindi language. While the first film was set in the United States, Vishwaroopam 2 is set to take place in India. Cinematographer Shamdat Sainudheen will be cranking the camera for the movie. Shamdat is making his debut directorial movie with Mammootty’s Streetlights, which is a bilingual movie simultaneously shot in Tamil and Malayalam. 

Kamal Haasan has earlier said that the second part will be laced with a strong mother-son sentiment. He stated that 40% of the film was shot during the making of part one itself. While part 1 was a little over 2 hours 20 minutes, the sequel’s length will be less than 2 hours. Vishwaroopam 2 was scheduled to release on August 3, 2015, but due to delays, Kamal Hassan has changed the date. Meanwhile Kamal also has another film in the pipeline – Sabhash Naidu.
