After Padmavati Deepika Padukone’s next is ‘Sapna Didi’!

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is now celebrating the success of her recent release movie Padmaavat directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In the movie, she played Rani Padmavati and is getting all praises for her entire Rajasthani look. And now she is gearing up for her next film named ‘Sapna Didi’. 

According to report, Sapna Didi shooting will go on floor from March 2018 in Nepal. The film also features Irrfan Khan. Producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Ent said to Mumbai Mirror that, “Vishal sir is on the recce currently and the shooting for the film will kick-start on March 5 in Nepal.” It is also reported that, the film based on the life of mafia queen Rahima Khan aka Sapna Didi and is an adaptation from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Prernaa said, “This film is not a biopic. Vishal sir is directing a fictional thriller that deals with the topic of revenge,” she said. 
The movie is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj’s film and it is produced by T-series and Kri Entertainment. This is the second time where Deepika and Irrfan are sharing the space with each other. Earlier, the two actors were seen in ‘Piku’. Sapna Didi who was a feared name in the underworld, married to a man who worked under Don Dawood Ibrahim, she had close connections with the most wanted person in the mafia world.After Dawood got her husband killed in a police encounter, she took it upon herself to avenge his death. 

Following this, she joined hand with Hussaid Ustara, a man who had hated Dawood for years and was waiting for a chance to murder him. She learned how to ride a bike and use a gun and also became a police informer against Dawood for a while. She eventually plotted to kill Dawood at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium but paid for her misadventures with her life. Her murder is considered one of the most brutal ones ever.
