Manjima Mohan in France for the Malayalam remake of Queen titled as Zam Zam
We have already reported that Manjima Mohan will be reprising the role of Kangana Ranaut in the Malayalam remake of Bollywood movie Queen titled as Zam Zam. And currently, the actress is shooting for the movie in France. The Tamil version, which has been titled “Paris Paris”, stars Kajal Aggarwal in the lead will be directed by actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind. The yet-untitled Telugu version of the film, to be directed by Neelakanta Reddy, will star Tamannaah Bhatia. The Kannada version, which has been titled ‘Butterfly’ and stars Parul Yadav, has already gone on the floors. Manjima Mohan debuted in Malayalam as a heroine with the Nivin Pauly starrer Oru Vadakkan Selfie. She has debuted in Malayalam as a child artist in Kaliyoonjal. And she had also done many Tamil and Telugu films. And Zam Zam is her second film as a heroine in Malayalam.
Manjima is very excited about her character in the movie since Kangana has won a National Award for the movie. In an interview, she said that, Zam Zam’ is a huge challenge for her as the whole plot revolves around her character. She went on add that she is a bit nervous about the film but feels that it will be a fun experience. She also said that “It’s a huge responsibility. I had the same nervousness when I did Oru Vadakkan Selfie as that film too was about my character. This is my second Malayalam film in two years, and I’m not at all how people will accept this. But at the same time, I know it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s great to have been offered such a heroine-oriented project.” The actress also revealed that she has not really done much preparation for the role and will essay the role as per her director’s wishes/vision.
