Mammootty’s Streetlights movie to get a release in January 2018
The latest reports from Mollywood says that Mammootty’s upcoming bilingual movie Streetlights directed by Shamdat Zainudheen will be released in January 2018. Streetlights is the debut directorial of cinematographer turned director Shamdat. The movie is shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil. And also the movie will get a dubbed Telugu version. This is the first time Mammootty is getting a release in Multiple languages. Rajanikanth’s most anticipated movie ‘2.0 ‘ will also be releasing in January 2018.
Streetlights is an investigative thriller in which Mammootty can be seen as an investigating officer. And another fact about the movie is that Mammootty himself is producing the movie under the banner of his own production house Play House Motion Picture. The script of the movie is by Fawaz Muhammed who is a newcomer. Debutant Adarsh Abraham is the music director of the movie. As per reports, there is no heroine for the movie. 
The director himself in an interview to a leading daily said that “We have shot the film in both Malayalam and Tamil. In Tamil, we have a different set of actors including Mano Bala, Pandiraj, Motta Rajendran, Stunt Silva and award-winning actor Sreeram. They are also popular in Telugu industry. So it will be easy for the audience to connect with the movie.” The movie does not have a central female character. 
But actress Lijomol Jose will be doing an important role in the movie. Actors like Joy Mathew, Indrans, Dharmajan, Hareesh Kanaran, Sudhi Kopa, Neena Kurup, Sohan Seenulal are part of the movie. The movie is Shot in Kochi, Chennai, and Pollachi.The shoot of the movie is complete and more details about it will be soon out. Meanwhile, Mammootty has Ajai Vasudev movie Masterpiece as his upcoming release which will hit theatres in this Christmas season. Peranbu is another upcoming bilingual movie of the actor which is shot in Tamil and Malayalam.Parole, Uncle, Kunjali Marakkar, Mamangam, Oru Kuttanadan Blog etc.. are the upcoming movies of Mammootty.
