Soubin Shahir to play a Rustic character in Fahadh Faasil’s Carbon!

Actor Soubin Shahir is playing a prominent role in upcoming Venu directorial Carbon starring Fahadh Faasil and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles. He will be seen as a mahout in the movie by the name of Rajesh. This is the first time Soubin is sporting an exceptional and rustic avatar. 

His first look from the movie unveiled by the makers suggests that the actor has nailed his character to the core. Carbon is touted to be an adventure thriller in the backdrop of forest and is slated for a release next week. Soubin Shahir made his debut as a director with Dulquer Salmaan starrer Parava and is all set to make his debut in the lead role in Sudani From Nigeria. According to reports, Carbon will deal with climate change and its implications.

The film has been shot extensively in forests, particularly the Kattapana in Idukki, and Erattupetta and Pala. According to sources close to the film unit, the raw locations would be a feast for the eyes of the viewers.
National Award-winning filmmaker and music director Vishal Bhardwaj is returning to Mollywood after a gap of 19 years to compose music for director Venu’s upcoming film Carbon. Carbon is touted to be an entertainer with several portions being shot inside a forest. 

Fahadh plays a rustic lad named Siby, who is an impish youth. It was earlier reported that Carbon would be a December 2017 release, and its makers have finally come up with an official announcement that the date is fixed for its release and that it would be January 19th,2018. Nedumudi Venu and Dileesh Pothan is playing significant roles in the movie along with Soubn Shahir, Ashokan, Vijayaraghavan, Lena, Master Chetan Lal, Sharafudheen and others. 

KU Mohanan has handled the cinematography and Beena Paul is in charge of editing. Touted to be an adventure thriller based in a forest, the film has been shot using the sync sound technology.
