FIFA World Cup 2018: The tournament will start on 14th June and will conclude on 15 July. It is the biggest football extravaganza in the world and arguably the biggest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup will soon get underway in Russia. The event will be hosted by 11 cities in 12 different stadiums.And here are the 12 different stadiums which will host the historic tournament,
1. Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow 
The Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow will host the opening match and the final of the tournament. With a capacity of 80,000 seats, the historic venue will host 7 matches.
2. Saint Petersburg Stadium, St. Petersburg 
With a capacity of 67,000, the spaceship-themed stadium will host 7 matches including one of the semi-finals.
3. Fisht Stadium, Sochi 
The venue which hosted the Winter Olympics will have a capacity of 48,000. It will host 6 matches, including a quarter-final.
4. Ekaterinburg Arena, Ekaterinburg 
It has a unique design with one of the stands outside the stadium. It will have a capacity of 45,000 and will host four Group stage matches.
5. Kazan Arena, Kazan 
Home of Rubin Kazan, the arena will have a capacity of 45,000 and will host six matches, including a quarter-final.
6. Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod 
With a capacity of 45,000, the stadium will host six matches including a quarter-final.
7. Rostov Arena, Rostov-on-Don 
The stadium will host five matches. Four of them will be a Group stage match and one will be a Round of 16 encounter. It will have a capacity of 45,000.
8. Samara Arena, Samara 
It will host six matches during the tournament. This will include a quarter-final and a Round of 16 tie. It has a capacity of 45,000.
9. Mordovia Arena, Saransk 
Another 45,000 seater stadium, it will host four group stage matches during the tournament.
10. Volograd Stadium, Volograd 
The stadium will host four group stage matches. It will have a capacity of 45,000.
11. Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad 
The smallest venue at the World Cup with a capacity of 35,212, the stadium will host four group stage matches.
12. Spartak Stadium, Moscow 
The second stadium in Moscow and the home of Russian giant Spartak Moscow. The stadium will host four group stage games and has a capacity of 42,000.
