Dhanush to produce Nadirshah’s ‘Ajith from Arupukottai’!

Recent reports say that Nadirshah’s Tamil directorial debut Ajith from Arupukottai will be produced by actor Dhanush’s production Venture. 

Ajith from Arupukottai is the Tamil remake of Malayalam hit film Kattapanayile Hrithik Roshan, which is also directed by Nadirshah and starred by Vishnu Unnikrishnan. In the Tamil version Vijay TV fame Dheena is in the lead role. The shooting of the film is currently underway in Pollachi. 

While Dheena is playing the lead role, comedian Dharmajan Bolghatty who played the hero’s friend in the Malayalam original is doing the same role in the Tamil remake. Interestingly, Dheena made his debut with a small role in Dhanush’s directorial debut film ‘Pa Pandi’. The remake will mark Nadirshah’s directorial debut in Kollywood.  
Actor Sathyaraj and Vadivelu will be featured in important character roles. Sathyaraj would be playing the character portrayed by Siddique and Vadivelu will be featured in the character done by Salim Kumar. An official announcement on rest of the cast and the crew has not been declared. Dharmajan is the only person from the Malayalam version to be casted in Tamil also.The movie says the story of a youth who thinks he is handsome like filmstar Ajith. And the heroine will be a new face. The movie will be shot in Chennai and Pollachi. The original, featuring Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Prayaga Martin in the lead roles, was a comedy of errors about a former child artist who wants to make it big in the Malayalam film industry. 

Nadirshah who is a mimicry artist, comedian, television host, singer, lyricist, composer, actor, and director known for his Malayalam films. He made his directional debut with the blockbuster Malayalam film Amar Akbar Anthony (2015). His second directorial Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan (2016) was also a blockbuster.
