Aravind Swami to turn into direction?

Recent reports from Kollywood says that actor Aravind Swami has given an hint about his directorial debut in Twitter. Arvind Swami had a busy 2017 as he shot for four Tamil films including Sathuranga Vettai 2, Bhaskar Oru Rascal, Vanangamudi and Naragasooran. 

His sole release of the year was Bogan, in which he shared screen space with Jayam Ravi for the second time after the 2015 smash hit Thani Oruvan. Recently, Arvind opened up about his career and future plans in a Twitter chat with his fans. He has revealed that he might don the director’s hat in 2018.Answering a fan’s question on whether he has directorial plans, Arvind said, “Hopefully, in 2018.” He also said “expect the unexpected” when asked what kind of director would we see. Although he remained tight-lipped about Mani Ratnam’s next project, a multi-starrer with Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Fahadh Faasil, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh; he said that he’s looking forward to working with everybody. 
Arvind recently completed shooting for Karthick Naren’s Naragasooran, which also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Sundeep Kishan and Shriya Saran. Talking about Karthick, he said that he’s a filmmaker with a lot of potential and Naragasooran will be a film that’ll be talked about. Last seen in Telugu film Dhruva, Arvind clarified his focus right now is only on Tamil films. When a fan asked when he will do Telugu films again, he said, “I will surely dub the movies that I have done in Telugu.” 

He was introduced as an actor by Mani Ratnam with the film Thalapathi (1991) and subsequently starred in successful films such as Roja (1992), Bombay (1995), Minsaara Kanavu (1997) and Alaipayuthey (2000).Swamy also starred in other ventures, including the Telugu film Mounam (1995), the Malayalam films Daddy (1992) and Devaraagam (1996), and the Bollywood film Saat Rang Ke Sapne (1998). Swamy spent a decade in businesses ranging from software engineering, construction, international trade to global outsourcing, before returning to acting.
