Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their Wedding Reception

Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied knot recently in Italy. And now the couple planning receptions for Friends and Family. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. 

It is most likely that the couple invited the Prime Minister to their reception which will be held in New Delhi on Thursday. As per the statement released by the PMO, Narendra Modi also congratulated the couple on their marriage. Virat and Anushka tied the knot last week in Italy and will now host the reception in New Delhi and Mumbai on December 21 and 26 respectively. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his regards and congratulated the couple on their marriage. “Captain of the Indian cricket team @imVkohli and noted actor @AnushkaSharma met PM @narendramodi this evening. The Prime Minister congratulated them on their wedding,” tweeted the Prime Minister’s Office.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma arrived in Delhi on Tuesday after tying the knot in Italy and spending a few days in the country for their honeymoon. The couple announced the news of their marriage on social media in a joint statement, saying, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you.This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.” 

The photos of the newlywed went viral on social media after the two made a visit to Virat Kohli’s residence in Delhi on Tuesday. The wedding took place in the presence of the celebrated couple’s family and close friends. Virat and Anushka’s wedding has been the most talked about affair in the recent past. The duo met each other during an advertisement shoot in 2013. But it was after the South Africa tour in January 2014, when team India arrived at the Mumbai airport and instead of going with rest of the cricket team, Virat went to Anushka’s apartment. The fact that the two started following each other on social media was also noticed by the media.
