Tovino Thomas to again team up with Guppy director John Paul George?

Actor Tovino Thomas himself posted a photo of him with the director of Guppy movie John Paul George recently saying ‘We Will be Back With A Bang’. The actor is again joining hands with Guppy director John Paul George for his second movie. 

Tovino has become a busy bee in M’town. The actor has a couple of movies coming up including Theevandi, Aami, and Luca.Guppy which was a spectacular movie featuring Tovino and Master Chetan in the pivotal roles was a flop at the box office but later, become a huge torrent hit and went on to fetch a classic status among the movie buffs.Along with Tovino and Master Chetan, Sreenivasan, Rohini, Sudheer Karamana, Dileesh Pothen and Alencier Ley Lopez were in supporting roles. 

The film revolves around the unexpected rivalry that starts between a teenager, Guppy and the engineer who comes for the construction of the village dream project. Centered on the theme of hope, the film peruse the ruins ‘wounded’ ego cause in the lives of people. 
Tovino Thomas is best known for his roles in films such as ABCD (2013), Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015), Guppy (2016), Oru Mexican Aparatha, Godha and Mayaanadhi (2017). The box-office success of Oru Mexican Aparatha and Godha has led Tovino to be one of the upcoming young stars of Malayalam cinema. Tovino’s sports comedy-drama, Godha, directed by Basil Joseph, has also done well at the box office. 

When it comes to John Paul George, he started his film career as a chief assistant director in the Rajesh Pillai directed movie Traffic which was released in 2011.Later he was the associate director for Sameer Thahir in the following movies Chaappa Kurishu, 5 Sundarikal, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi.He also worked as the production partner of ‘E4 Entertainment’ from 2013 to 2016. 

He made his directional movie debut through the Malayalam movie Guppy which was released in August 2016. Guppy was produced in association with his own production company ‘Yopa Cinema’. The movie received rave reviews from critics and audiences.Guppy has bagged 5 awards in 47th Kerala State Film Awards for various categories.
