Tovino Thomas replaces Prithviraj in Gautham Menon’s Movie!

Recent reports from Mollywood says that actor Tovino Thomas will replace actor Prithviraj in Tamil director Gautham Menon’s next movie titled as Ondraga. We has earlier reported that Prithviraj has been roped in for Gautham Menon’s next movie.

But now reports say that Tovino will play the role in Gautham Menon’s Tamil movie that was earlier meant for Prithviraj.Tovino Thomas’ biggest break in his career is arguably his role in Ennu Ninte Moideen, which had Prithviraj in the lead.

While the two are great friends off screen and Tovino keeps saying he is grateful to Prithviraj for the help he has lent him, it now seems that Tovino is soon catching up with the Aadujeevitham star.Tovino had earlier replaced Prithviraj in Manju Warrier’s Aami directed by Kamal.
While Gautham told in an interview that “it’s too early to discuss” about the film or the cast, the actor is surely making his mark in Kollywood. Tovino had also starred in a music video produced and directed by Gautham Menon. He is currently starring in Dhanush’s Maari 2 and Abhiyum Anuvum ready for release.

On the character, Prithviraj had told to a famous daily in 2016 when the film was first announced,

“My character in the film plays a Malayali. So I will have some dialogues in Malayalam. It’s basically about four friends. It’s a phase in their life where they all get together and they discover things about themselves and each other. It’s a fun script. It’s co-written by Gautham. I said yes to it as soon as I read the script. He had concerns if I would act in a multi-starrer. It’s been something that I have been wanting to do for a long time. It’s opening up a world of possibilities. Having four major actors from four South Indian industries in a film opens up a possibility of releasing a movie in 2500 screens in South India without having a Rajinikanth in it. Plus, the liberty that filmmaker gets in terms of the money he can spend and scale at which he can conceive is huge.” It is also rumoured that Anushka and Tamannaah are part of the movie.
