Salman Khan’s Bharat Movie is based on 1947 Partition

It was already reported that Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Bharat directed by Ali Abbas Zafar will have Salman Khan in five different looks. And now the director says that “Since the story spans over a period of 70 years, there will be many historical references. It is essentially about a man who lives through several significant moments from India’s past to present.” 

He added, “The Partition sequences will be shot in Punjab, keeping in mind the minute details which have been researched over the last three months. Original steam engines will be used for this shoot along with art, costumes, and nuances, which will give the feel of that era.” The film will be shot in different parts of Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi.Ali had recently shared that Bharat had come to him from Salman himself. He shared that Salman suggested him to watch the film and they liked the socio-political scenario of the film. 

Bharat is a Hindi adaption of 2004 Korean drama Ode to My Father, directed by Yoon Je-kyoon. The film will see Salman Khan reprising Hwang Jung-min’s part. Bharat will be a bit different from Salman’s other films, where he is seen showing off his well-toned body. He won’t be taking off his shirt anymore.  
Earlier in an interview, the director said that “Bharat is a beautiful story seen through the eyes of Salman’s character. Since it spans seven decades, we decided to feature five extremely different looks. Each avatar will reflect the character’s transition; reflect on his life and times. We start shooting in June but prep kicks off on February 6.” Salman and Eid in Bollywood go hand-in-hand. There seldom have been times in past few years when the ‘Dabangg’ actor’s fans have not been treated by his film on the occasion of the holy festival. 

Continuing the tradition, Salman Khan has yet again blocked the auspicious date for his 2019 release titled ‘Bharat’.Bharat is an Eid 2019 release. Preparation in every department will be elaborate and the casting will be done over the next three months. The film marks Producer Atul Agnihotri joining hands with Salman Khan post the Blockbuster 2011 Eid release ‘Bodyguard’ and Ali Abbas Zafar directing the actor post-2016 Blockbuster Eid release ‘Sultan’.
