After Padmaavat now Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika Movie face Protests!

After Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat’s issue with Karni Sena, the film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is now in trouble following a statement from the Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha. 

The president of the group, Suresh Mishra said “In order to check that the issue doesn’t blow up like Padmaavat, the government must ensure nothing controversial is shown in the film. It should get an undertaking from the producers.” The group is claiming that there is a love song being shot between the Rani of Jhansi and a British official of the East India company and has written a letter to the producers to clarify on the same. the Mahasabha’s leaders have promised to disrupt the film’s shooting in Rajasthan if the “offensive portions” are not removed. Unsurprisingly, the Rajput Karni Sena has announced their support of their Brahmin colleagues. The SBM had previously supported the anti-Padmaavat protests staged by the Karni Sena. 
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, based on Lakshmi Bai, the 19th Century queen, and freedom fighter, stars Kangana Ranaut as the real-life queen. And after the Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha wanted a clarification from the producer of the movie Manikarnika saying that it does not involve any controversies, producer Kamal Jain said, “The film doesn’t portray anything objectionable about her and nor has the film distorted the history in any way. The film showcases Rani Laxmibai in most respectful manner and is an inspirational story which every kid and family member would love to see. We as a country would be proud to showcase the bravery, courage, and heroism of Rani Laxmibai to the world.” 

The makers are ready to share the script with the authorized people who have doubts on this matter. The movie is being directed by National Award Winning Director Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain Co-Produced by Nishant Pitti of EaseMyTrip.
