Mohanlal to do a guest role in Vaarikuzhiyile Kolapathakam Movie?

It was already reported that Hitchcock Kanjikuzhi’s crime novel Vaarikuzhiyile Kolapathakam from the classic Mohanlal movie No.20 Madras Mail is finally turning into an independent movie. The movie with the same name is directed by Rajeesh Midhila. 

Rajeesh himself has scripted the film.The movie stars Dileesh Pothen and Amith Chakkalakkal in the lead roles. Latest reports on Vaarikuzhiyile Kolapathakam suggest that Mohanlal will be appearing in a cameo role in the movie. It is yet to be revealed that if the actor is reprising his character Tony Kurishingal from N0.20 Madras Mail or he is essaying an entirely different character. Mohanlal had earlier played guest roles in movies like Summer in Bethlehem, Wanted, Unnathangalil, Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, and Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutti etc… 

Varikuzhiyile Kolapathakam is the title that Malayalis would not easily forget. In the super hit Mohanlal-Mammootty film Number 20 Madras Mail, actor Maniyanpilla Raju appears as novelist Hitchcock Kanjikkuzhi. Varikkuzhiyile Kolapathakamm is the novel written by this character in the film.The dream of the novelist who boarded train to Madras to make his novel a film will have his dream come true after 27 years.But, Hitchcock Kanjikkuzhi has no connection with the new film. The filming of the movie is progressing in Vaikom. 

Nedumudi Venu, Shammi Thilakan, Nandu, Sudhi Kopa, Gokul, Leji Joseph are the other artists playing important roles in the movie. The music direction of the movie is by Mejo Joseph. Famous Music Director Keeravani will be singing a song for the movie. Vaarikuzhiyile Kolapathakam is the movie directed by Rejeesh after the movie Lal Bahadur Shastri. The movie is produced by Take one Entertainments. Eldho Isaac is cranking the camera for the movie. Sandeep Nandakumar is in charge of the cuts. More details about the movie will be soon out.
