Recent reports say that Mammootty has signed yet another big movie and as per reports, the movie will be directed by Oru Second Class Yatra’s director Regis Anthony. And also the movie is said to be titled as ‘Vamban’. mammootty

Meanwhile, Mammootty has a busy 2018 lined up. The first half of the year will see plenty of releases including Ram’s Peranbu, Street Lights, and Parole, which has him playing a firebrand character Sakhavu Alex. Mammootty’s upcoming movie Vamban is said to be a big budget movie. The movie is funded by Sargam Kabeer who has previously produced films like Dada Sahib and Rakshasarajavu. RejisAntony

Vamban which is also an action thriller which has Kanal Kannan and Peter Hein as the action choreographers. Mammootty has also finished shooting for Uncle, and would be doing a cameo in Ranjith’s Oru Bilathikkatha. His much awaited epic film, Maamaakam, will go on floors in February with extensive shooting set to begin in May. Mammootty’s upcoming release Street Lights will hit theatres on January 26th. The movie is the debut directorial of Cinematographer Shamdat Sainudeen. Pranav Mohanlal’s debut movie as a hero Aadhi directed by Jeethu Joseph is also releasing on the same release date of Street Lights. Mammootty’s Parole movie is also the debut directorial film of Ad Film director Sharrath. Mamankam and Kunjali Marakkar are the upcoming big-budget movies of Mammootty. The highlight of the film Mamankam is that, it is set in the late 17the century and that revolves around the life of the warriors called Chaaverukal who plot to overthrow the Zamorin rulers, will be the visual effects. masterpiece-759

The film, based on the medieval fair Mamankam, which was celebrated every 12 years from 800 AD to 1755 AD, will tell the story of brave warriors of Malabar. Set in the 17th century, the film will be directed by debutant Sajeev Pillai. Some sources reported that It’s the tale of the brave warriors of Malabar. The epic movie Kunjali Marakkar is said to be directed by Santhosh Sivan and is produced by August Cinemas.
