Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam 2 Movie release on April 2nd, 2018

Ulakanayakan Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam 2 movie will get a release on 2nd April 2018. Viswaroopam is Written and directed by Kamal Haasan. And it is the sequel to Vishwaroopam (2013) and features himself alongside Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, and Andrea Jeremiah, reprising their roles.  The spy thriller film is being simultaneously made in Tamil and Hindi language. While the first film was set in the United States, Vishwaroopam 2 is set to take place in India. The post-production works of the movie are going on. The shoot of some remaining scenes will be finished this month itself. The movie is produced by Raaj Kamal International Films. The 150 crore budget movie will be distributed by Eros International. The music of the movie is by Ghibran.  Cinematographer Shamdat Sainudheen will be cranking the camera for the movie. Shamdat is making his debut directorial movie with Mammootty’s Streetlights, which is a bilingual movie simultaneously shot in Tamil and Malayalam.
Kamal Haasan has earlier said that the second part will be laced with a strong mother-son sentiment. He stated that 40% of the film was shot during the making of part one itself. While part 1 was a little over 2 hours 20 minutes, the sequel’s length will be less than 2 hours. Vishwaroopam 2 was scheduled to release on August 3, 2015, but due to delays, Kamal Hassan has changed the date. In Tamil Nadu the release of Viswaroopam(Part 1) was delayed because of some legal controversies, regarding the film’s plot of Indian security services’ participation in the War on Terror, arose as several Muslim civic organizations protested the film’s release in Tamil Nadu, resulting in an official ban being imposed on the film in the state for 15 days by the Government of Tamil Nadu. At last Viswaroopam 2 is said to get a release next year.
