Gautham Menon’s next Movie is titled as Ondraga!

Director Gautham Menon’s very next movie would be ‘Ondraga’ featuring many popular South Indian actors, including Anushka, Tamannaah and Prithviraj who already signed. Ondraga is supposedly a story focused around Karthik from Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya. 1419223400_gautham-menon-ajith

How would the life of VTV’s Karthik be after eight years? That’s the storyline for Ondraga. Incidentally, Gautham’s production house also has the same name. Gautham Menon is a passionate filmmaker who always comes with ambitious plans. After his ongoing projects Enai Noki Paayum Thotta and Dhruva Natchathiram, the director has said that he would love to make sequels to his stories like Kaakha Kaakha, Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu and Yennai Arindhaal. And now above these all Ondraga gets the priority. Gautham_Menon
Vinnai Thaandi Vaaruvaya starring Trisha and Simbu is one of Gautham’s massive hits. The love story of an aspiring filmmaker Karthik (Simbu) and his lady love (Jessie), the film was a massive hit for its portrayal of urban love. As Jessie oscillates between love and family, the couple end up being separated. The film ends after Karthik makes his first movie, ironically named Jessie. The film was also a hit in Telugu where the lead pair was played by Samantha and Naga Chaitanya. It was later remade in Hindi as well with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson.gautham-menon

Gautham is currently busy working on two much-awaited projects, Dhruva Natchathram and Ennai Noki Paayum Thotta. Both long-in-the-making projects, the buzz around the films has strengthened over time. While Ennai Noki Paayum Thotta stars Dhanush and Megha Akash, Dhruva Natchathram will have Vikram, Andrea Jeremiah and Aishwarya Rajesh. Gautham Menon who works predominantly in Tamil cinema has also directed Hindi and Telugu films, which are remakes of his own Tamil films. Gautham_Menon

Many of his films have been critically acclaimed, most notably his semi-autobiographical films Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) and his thrillers Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006), Yennai Arindhaal (2015) and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016). Vaaranam Aayiram won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.
