Fahadh Faasil’s Trance movie progressing in Mumbai

Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming movie Trance directed by Anwar Rasheed is now progressing in Mumbai. The movie also has Amal Neerad cranking the camera. 

The director is making a comeback after a gap of five years. His last feature film Ustad Hotel starring Dulquer Salmaan fetched him the National Award.The movie, Ustaad Hotel was released in 2012 and was lauded by critics and audiences alike. It followed the story of Faizi (Dulquer Salmaan), an aspiring chef, who returns to his hometown in India when he fails to receive support from his father. He tries to fulfill his dream by helping his grandfather, Kareem, run his hotel. The film won three National Awards. 

After this film, the director worked on a short film for the anthology series Anchu Sundharikal. Since then, the director turned producer for films such as Bangalore Days, Premam and Comrade in America. All the three films have done extremely well. Especially Premam and Bangalore Days have fans from across the country. 

The collaboration with Fahadh Faasil in Trance is special, and fans are looking forward to something interesting like Ustad Hotel. Everyone is expecting Anwar to impress the masses with another unique subject. Reports suggest that the movie has a week-long schedule in Mumbai and the team will head back to Kochi after the schedule to shoot the remaining portions later this month. The film also has Sreenath Bhasi and Soubin Shahir.The release date, for now, has been set as April 2018. 

Meanwhile, Fahadh’s next release in Malayalam will be Venu’s Carbon and in Tamil, it will be Thani Oruvan director Mohan Raja’s Velaikkaran, which also has Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara in the lead. The actor is also part of Mani Ratnam’s upcoming movie which will go on floors in January 2018. Trance is being produced under the banner of Anwar Rasheed Entertainments and will involve bigwigs like Academy Award winner Resul Pookkuutty, Vincent Vadakkan, who will be writing the script of the film.
