Director Sujith Vaassudev’s next is titled as Autorickshaw

Cinematographer turned director Sujith Vassudev’s next directorial movie is titled as Autorickshaw. As a Cinematographer, Sujith made his debut with Chekavar a 2010 Malayalam film. His best works include Drishyam, 7th Day, Memories, Ayaal, Anarkali. Sujith Vaassudev had won the 2013 Kerala State Film Award for Best Cinematography for the films Ayaal and Memories. 

In 2016 he debuted as a director through the film James & Alice starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Vedhika. Autorickshaw will be his second directorial film. The movie is said to be set in Kannur. The director announced about the movie through his Facebook page. The shoot of the movie will start on February Second week in Kannur. Newbies will be playing the lead roles of the movie. And also reports say that one famous Malayalam actress will be playing a cameo role in the movie. 

Jayaraj Mithra who scripted Indrajith’s Movie Adoorilum Thoppilum Allathoru Bhasi and the Early episodes of Marimayam serial is scripting Autorickshaw Movie. And the movie is produced by NRI Mohandas. Sujith himself will be cranking the camera for the movie. In an interview with an online daily, the director said that ‘autorickshaw is a reflection of Society, People of different types travels in an autorickshaw. A Policeman may be hiring an autorickshaw which was earlier hired by a thief. Here we are trying to say a realistic story through the many lives who hires an Autorickshaw.’ The story of his previous movie James and Alice was by Sujith himself. 

Prithviraj and Vedhika performed well in the movie.Vedhika’s performance was well appreciated by the critics and as well as the audience. Music was composed by Gopi Sundar. Sujith Vasudev married actress Manju Pilla in 2000 and they has a daughter named Daya Sujith. More details about the movie Autorickshaw will be out soon.
