Director AR Murugadoss to remake Hollywood movie ‘Million Dollar Baby’!

Recent reports say that director AR Murugadoss is going to remake Clint Eastwood’s Hollywood classic ‘Million Dollar Baby’. 

If reports are to be believed Bollywood star Akshay Kumar will be doing the lead role in the movie. The Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank starrer is based upon a young female aspiring to be a boxer and a coach who guides her to it. 

In the Hindi remake, Akshay will play the role essayed by Clint Eastwood, of the boxing coach. For the role of the young girl, TV actress Marina Kunwar has been roped in. Marina Kunwar has been seen in popular TV Show CID, and also Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss season 10. Talking about her big screen debut alongside Akshay Kumar, Marina told a media agency,”Working with a star like Akshay Kumar is like a dream come true, the journey from modeling to acting has been a major struggle but I have never given up and I am confident I will soon be recognized.” 

Meanwhile, Marina will have to boost her fitness to the best for the role, and for that, she is undergoing proper functional training along with maintaining a high protein diet for the role. The official announcement of the film remains to be made, but this promises to be one of the most exciting Akshay Kumar projects. 

AR Murugadoss is currently busy with the script work and casting of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film with Sun Pictures.Once Murugadoss completes Thalapathy 62, the director is planning to start shooting for the Hindi remake of Million Dollar Baby by the end of next year. A.R. Murugadoss has previously worked with Akshay in Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty which was the Hindi remake of the director’s blockbuster movie Thuppakki. Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for his Independence day release Gold and has kitty full of great films already.
