It is confirmed that AR Rahman is composing music for Blessy’s Aadujeevitham

We had earlier reported that Music Maestro AR Rahman will be composing music for director Blessy’s upcoming movie Aadujeevitham. And now it is confirmed that The Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman, whose dad RK Shekar was once a prominent music director of Mollywood, is returning to the Malayalam film industry after 25 years. 

Rahman will be joining director Blessy and Prithviraj for their upcoming movie Aadujeevitham, the adaptation of the novel of the same name by Benyamin. The only Malayalam film for which he had composed earlier was Sangeeth Sivan’s Yoddha. AR Rahman confirmed his return to Malayalam on January 16 at Dubai saying, “I’m working with director Blessy for Aadujeevitham. It is a beautiful story.” Director Blessy said about why he roped in the musical genius, that the movie demands a big space for music as its plot revolves around a man being isolated completely. 
Blessy says that Rahman was very excited about the movie when he narrated the story to him. “He said that such universal films are the need of the hour. He understood every aspect of the movie and the musical necessities,” he says.The film will go on floors by February end. “The first schedule is in Kerala which will have the protagonist Najeeb’s Kerala life before he leaves for a job abroad. The film has many schedules with locations like Oman. Prithviraj will be seen in his plump look for the first schedule,” Blessy added. The movie is one of the most anticipated movies of Prithviraj. Prithviraj will undergo a tremendous makeover for the movie. 

Director Blessy had done much research on the subject and finalized his script. Like the actor, the director is also famous for his experiment on various subjects through his movies. His movies will stand outstanding from other movies with their variety of subjects and themes. Even though he had only done few movies, all of them are widely recognized. His first two movies Kaazhcha and Thanmathra won him many awards. Kaazhcha his debut movie in 2004 starring won him and the actor Kerala State Film Awards and his second movie Thanmathra starring Mohanlal in 2005 Won the director a National Award and several Kerala State Film Awards.
