Recent reports say that Mammootty’s upcoming Periodic Drama Mamakam Movie will have the VFX team of Bahubali Movie. Kamalakannan and team has done the VFX of Bahubali. Mamankam movie is giving a lot of importance to VFX. 
And the upcoming historical drama Mamankam will get a start in February 2018 in Mangalapuram. The film, based on the medieval fair Mamankam, which was celebrated every 12 years from 800 AD to 1755 AD, will tell the story of brave warriors of Malabar. Set in the 17th century, the film will be directed by debutant Sajeev Pillai. 
Mamankam festival was held on the banks of Bharathapuzha in Tirunavaya and would attract brave warriors from across the country who would congregate on the banks of the river to showcase their skills at combat.Some sources reported that, It’s the tale of the brave warriors of Malabar.During the Mamankam festival held at the banks of Bharathapuzha in Tirunavaya, soldiers from all over the country used to come together to wager battles and combat.This movie is about a brave leader and his loyal soldiers.The rest of the cast and more details about the character Mammootty will be revealed soon. 
Mamangam is produced by Venu Kunnapally under the banner of Kavya Films. Many famous actors from other Film Industries will be part of the movie. And also famous, technicians from all over India will be part of the movie. M Jayachandran is doing the Music of the movie. Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja and Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989) are the other historical dramas of Mammootty.
Meanwhile, Mammootty is currently shooting for the final schedule of Sharrath Sandith movie Parole. Miya and Iniya are the female leads of the movie. Abrahaminte Santhathikal, Oru Kuttanadan Blog, Malayalam-Tamil bilingual movie Peranbu, another bilingual movie Streetlights are the upcoming movies of Mammootty. It is also reported that Mammootty’s another epic drama Karnan which was said to be dropped has not dropped. Dharma Kshetram is the suggested name of Mammootty’s movie on Karnan.
