Recently Mani Ratnam’s upcoming Multi-starrer movie’s tittle was announced and the movie is tittled as Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. And Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is one of the most anticipated films of the year with a fantastic star cast that includes Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Silambarasan, Prakash Raj, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and others. Chekka_Chivantha_vaanam

Sources reveal that the movie will have Vijay Sethupathi as a cop while Arvind Swami — who has collaborated with Ratnam earlier as well — will portray the role of a politician. Arun Vijay, who rose to fame post his portrayal of an antagonist in Yennai Arindhaal, will play a man with grey shades in this film too. Earlier it was said that Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil was doing one of the lead characters in the movie but now it seems that the actor is not part of the movie. But according to media reports, Arun Vijay seems to have replaced him. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari had just recently confirmed that she would be working with the ace director. “The positive reviews for Padmaavat were totally unexpected since I thought I didn’t have much to do. Now I am again doing a film with Mani Ratnam, just a year after Kaatru Veliyidai,” she told in an interview and added that this film would not be anything like Kaatru Veliyidai.The last time director Mani Ratnam did a film with a star-studded ensemble cast was 14 years ago — Aaytha Ezhuthu. Mani_Ratnam

This film, like Aaytha Ezhuthu, is also a bilingual. Nawab is the Telugu title. Music for the film will be by A.R. Rahman, while Vairamuthu will be handling the lyrics. National award winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan is also on- board.The movie is co-produced by Lyca Productions and is also co-written by Mani Ratnam and Siva Ananth. Director Bejoy Nambiar is on-board as a creative producer.The movie went on floors on last Monday.
