Well, Gates, who was quite impressed with Akshay’s recent outing, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, took to Twitter to praise the film. The film, which stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, not only had a social message for the country but also emphasized on the need of having toilet facilities in India. Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’ campaign also plays an important role in this movie. aki_1496400501

The movie which released on August 11, 2017, had an unstoppable run at the box office since its release. The film collected a total of around Rs 209 crore approx worldwide in six weeks.

The list included stories from around the globe, from a man called Edwardo Sanchez who became the first in his family to graduate college, to Bhutan and Maldives eliminating measles.And right there, on number two, stood Bollywood romance ‘Toilet: A Love Story,’ which “educated audiences about India’s sanitation challenge.”Gates said that the tweets he listed “made me feel better about 2017 and more optimistic about the new year.” Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has of late, been doing some really good movies with important social messages. The actor is all set to win our hearts once again with his content-driven film, ‘Padman’.
