If Angamaly Diaries fails at the box office, it would be a great loss for Malayalam cinema, says Tovino

Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Angamaly Diaries which hit the big screens a day ago has opened to raving reviews from all the centres. From audience to celebrities, all are going gaga over the movie’s unique direction and

 

We had earlier reported that a preview show of the movie was conducted for the celebrities in Kerala and it was attended by almost all top stars of Mollywood. After watching the movie, all of them showered praises. Actor Tovino Thomas was one among the special guests who watched the movie. 

After the show, the Guppy actor had a quick interaction with the media, showering all praises for the movie. The actor who was awed by the movie's realistic essence said that it would be a great loss for Malayalam cinema if the movie fails at the box office. Interestingly, Tovino’s campus political drama 'Oru Mexican Aparatha' locked horns with Angamaly Diaries on the same day.

Scripted by actor Chemban Vinod, the main highlight of Angamaly Diaries, is that 86 newcomers are being introduced through this film.  Produced by Vijay Babu, under the banner of Friday Films 'Angamaly Diaries’, the film’ story is about a group of youngsters who set out to try pig farming. The movie which is taglined as a ‘hardcore local flick’ will also revolve around the culture, attitude, and food of Angamaly. From heroes to villains to supporting roles, all are newbies. 

Meanwhile, Oru Mexican Aparatha, Starring Tovino Thomas, Neeraj Madhav and Roopesh Peethambaran in the lead roles, the movie is a campus political entertainer set in the backdrop of Maharajas college and will feature the ups and downs of college life, romance and friendships.  

According to film trade analysts, both the movies are sure hit at the box office.
